USDA Announces Opening Date for Rural e-Connectivity Pilot Program Applications

USDA Announces ReConnect Technical Assistance Workshops
USDA has announced all of the remaining regional ReConnect Technical Assistance Workshops. These regional workshops will allow applicants to gain a stronger understanding of the application process and program requirements. Dates, locations, and registration for all of the remaining workshops are available under Events.
Establishment of Application Deadlines and Clarification
To provide updated information to potential applicants, RUS announces amended application closing dates for the ReConnect program. In addition, RUS will announce when applications can be submitted in March 2019. Clarification regarding the appropriate State Official is also provided.
Federal Register Funding Opportunity Announcement
The Rural Utilities Service (RUS) announces its general policy and application procedures for funding under the broadband pilot program established pursuant to the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2018 which provides loans, grants, and loan/grant combinations to facilitate broadband deployment in rural areas.
USDA Extends Deadlines for ReConnect Rural Broadband Program
To give potential applicants adequate time to access technical assistance from USDA staff and its partners, the first application deadline will be pushed back to May 31, 2019 or later. Previously, application deadlines began in April. New specific deadlines for ReConnect Program grants, loans, and grant-loan combination applications will be posted in the Federal Register in late February.
